Complaining

Philippians 2:14 Do everything without complaining and arguing.

With cut back hours at work we are still trying to do the same amount of work in less time - I have noticed an elevated level of complaining, bickering and finger pointing. This verse is an excellent reminder that first of all I don't want to join in (I have not always followed that - Note to self work on that) then if I go to the next verse

2:15 so that no one can criticize you. Do I want to stand blameless before God. (no I am not saying I never mess up - I'm not Jesus) But I do want to strive to do all I can live in God's will.

I've heard that you will know what kind of fruit you are producing in your life by how you react when your fruit is being squeezed. Pressure, deadlines, being asked to do things you may not want to or like to do. So... How do you act. Do you receive it with joy and gladness?

Let me expand on the verses above:
Philippians 4:4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
vs 5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
vs 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
vs 7
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

So Simple but yet so often forgotten. Tell God - Tell God - no really TELL GOD! He already knows everything in your heart (yes even the ugly) -He just wants you to talk to Him. He is your friend, He is your confident, He needs to be our everything.

It is very important to be obedient to God, don't refuse Him anything. However I believe it is also equally important, if not more, to do whatever we do with the right attitude. How can we say we believe in God, and love Him, if we are not walking in the love that he gives us. We want, but we don't give.

I will be pondering my words today, because I'm sure I know who put them there. :)
Blessings to all!

Wonderful Thanksgiving

Well we had a house full of love and laughter, friends and family - so it was a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Well where do I start with my long pause in posting? Yes I've been busy, but with what you may ask. Well this summer flew by with several vacations that I was very blessed with.
First we went to my Dad and my Step-Mom's for the 4th of July. My Dad's Birthday is the 3rd so makes it nice for a double celebration.
Next we took our oldest two grandchildren and one of their friends to Disneyland for a week in August.
Then in September we took two weeks to vist my husbands side of the family in all parts of Arizona, Yuma, Phoenix, Pinetop, and Bullhead City.
It continues... My Sister came up for a week in October while her husband was hunting. She does this every year around my Birthday.
Then the first week in November I took the train down to southern Oregon to visit her for a long weekend.

So vacations are over, and winter in settling in, so I see lots of blogging and sewing and fun in my future. I will try to put up a few more posts that have pictures to show all the fun we have had.

Blessings to all

Hi - Still Here

How time flies, it's been forever since I have posted.

We are gearing up for vacation, our first of 3 coming up, and this one is to Disneyland with our 2 oldest grandchildren.

I have been planning for it, getting things caught up at work and then finishing some sewing projects that need to go in the mail before we leave. I will post some more of those pictures on my other blog later.

So Hi out there to everyone, have a wonderful day and I will post more later and give you more info about our upcoming trip(s).

Siesta Summer Bible Study

Well we are kicking off the LPM Summer Bible Study. Last night was the introductory session and we were asked to describe what type of dog breed our personality was like. Well I didn't really know but then they suggested we take the online test. Well my personality is a Labrador Retriever. Who knew. Anyway I am doing the study with some other women on line from all over and I am looking forward to getting going. It just started so if you want to join in it is not too late.
We are using the book "Me, Myself and Lies" by Jennifer Rothschild. Click on the tittle for more info on the study. Then go back to the LPM main page and sign up. Well I just got my book today so I better get started. I will keep you posted on how it is going.
Blessings,
